Erk Monday. Today, we had hail, sideways rain and my knees had an unfortunate meeting with bricks. That's Mondays for you, sure enough. But on the other hand, I got stuff done before deadlines, wrote a bit, manage to do a tiny spot of beta and seem to have become Cam the Pimpalicious for encouraging
xmaidelx to show off her lovely BSG icons. So not that bad a day, all in all.
Meanwhile, A school bus driver and amateur artist from the Chicago suburb of Zion has legally changed his name to "In God We Trust."
Yeah. For real.
Fandom round-up:
- A poll on Doctor Who and whether or not it's pushing a 'gay agenda' - and that goes about as well as you can imagine. Though possibly not as badly as you're dreading either. But the is RTD racist? post just might.
- Speaking of DW fandom, and communities, I've decided to leave a few comms. It just feels better for my annoyance level, yes. Hurrah for sanity! I'm going to need it before the finale.
- A convention manages to frak up majorly, and Aaron Douglas is not pleased.
I did find it cute that the BSG cast and crew is apparently spending a weekend together before shooting, though. Sayz Aaron: I cleared my schedule to be there. My schedule that is now in the final 2 weeks of shooting. Shooting the show that has meant so much to so many for 6 years of my life. We are shooting on location next week and the cast and crew are heading there early to spend the weekend together. James and I chose differently. We chose to go to Dallas and be with all of you, much to the chagrin of many of our castmates. I was so excited to watch the final episode in a room full of fans and then have drinks and talk about it.
I like this show even more with a cast and crew like that, truly. But ouch, echoes of VictoriaBitter anyone?
- ChigacoTribune's opinions on 'Revelations', with poll. I need to think about it all a bit before I do any reaction post myself, I think. Or maybe I'll just channel it out into fanfic.
- I'm writing an Adama/Roslin & Kara/Lee family fic thing that involves marriage, a funeral, hurt/comfort and Gaius getting laid again. Hohum. Sadly, as much as I wanted it to be Donna, I don't think I can do another crossover.
In the Euro:
- I love Holland hardcore now. Win it all, Holland! After slaughtering Italy and France both, Holland might have knocked both of them out in the opening stages. Those are the World Cup finalists - possibly not even getting out of the Euro group stage. Ahahaha. I love football! Germany - Austria today.
Flist of awesome, what are you up to?

Date: 2008-06-17 07:36 pm (UTC)If you very brave, you can always read my Cam's Tales of Batshit. There are some really... Special cases in there, yes. Particulary you might enjoy Hellfire, who of muslim hating and father loving. Not quite as special as VictoriaBitter, but we all lve in hope she's one of a kind.
Er, there is no dog in it. There's dancing?
When Laura steps into his arms, Bill closes his eyes and doesn't care they're not as much dancing to the music as hugging, her hands stroking his back and her head resting against his shoulder.
They don't say anything.
There's enough in silence right now.
