Doctor Who: Turn Left

Okay, that was fairly awesome.

- Donna is awesome.

- RTD is not subtle about his whole 'without the Doctor, the world kinda sucks'. Even with people trying to fill his place - UNIT, Sarah Jane, Torchwood Three.

- Donna's family is also awesome.

- Rose's return actually worked for me. Aww, Rose. Having fandom fight over you being most awesome ever or most awful ever did make me dread thee return a bit, but I am willing to go with it and crossing my fingers.

- London viped out by the Titanic - most awesome headline ever, y/n?

- That beetle was scarier when you just heard it. Seeing it was a bit of a let-down.

- The TARDIS dying was almost the saddest thing of all for me.

- Storywise, nothing really surprised me, but I still rather liked the episode.

- Holy shit the trailer. It's going to be one crowded finale, ain't it? Makes me slightly worried some characters will be short-changed, or the story will, but we shall see. It could also be TOTALLY AWESOME and therein lies my hope.

All in all, made me slightly excited about upcoming finale episodes. But I still miss shiny new Battlestar Galactica. Wah. It's going to be a long, long hiatus for me there. January, are you kidding me?! Cruel TV gods. Cruel!

Finished another BSG fic, though. Actually thinking of doing a LJ introduction post for the show, a la what I did for Doctor Who back when I got hooked on that. Because I am a sad, geeky fangirl at times, I just have to face that.

Also, Russia beat Holland and played smashing football, so I don't hate them for it. Congrats!

I loved that ep so much! I'd forgotten how much I'd missed Rose!

And the trailer! Daleks! It's the Daleks that got sucked into the Void in the S2 finale like so many little ants getting sucked into a vacuum cleaner, isn't it? They got sucked into the Void between dimensions and now they're, I don't know, destabilising all the dimensions, which would explain how Rose is back. I think. It makes sense to me, anyway!

Poor sad dying Tardis. I love the way it woke up a little when Rose stroked it. Poor Tardis, she misses her Doctor.,

I feel v lonely in my lack of head-over-heels love for the ep, but in the end I thought it did its job of getting the finale properly under way.

I loved it :D I'm SO excited about next week, although I am curious as to how so many big names are going to fit into one episode! But I loved it.

I would so read that BSG introduction, btw - so many friends seem to adore it, and I'm curious and clueless! :)

Sadly yes, RTD needs to learn anvil-like plot devices really are optional extras. And also, I had to focus on BP's good acting, rather than the crazy alt-world that is Rose-fen and separate the character on the screen from the lunacy of some of the boards.
