God jul, ye lovely LJ-friends of mine!

First off, thanks for gifts and cards from a lot of you. Much love and I now have many, many shiny new books to read. This is good. So was other presents, family, food, alcohol, same procedure as last year and the mood of it. We just missed snow. Hai weathergods, this is meant to be a winterish country, wink wink nudge nudge if you know what I mean?

I hope you've had a lovely time as well, whatever you celebrate or not, as might be the case. But if you did give and get presents, do tell me the shiniest you got.

Shiniest? Probably the Doctor Who S4 box set and American Gods by Neil Gaiman (though having a December birthday means that the period December 2-26 means presents for both which sometimes blend in to each other *grins*)

Haha, well as far as the snow goes, you can have some of mine - winter has blessed (cursed?) us here in Wisconsin.

Merry Christmas! (Oh, and my favorite gift is the five season box set of Alias I received from my parents. Boy, do I love them.)

I think the weathergods messed up and took your snow and dumped it over here.

You can have it back any time you want. We don't really want it anymore.

Well, let's see... I got some v.nice t-shirts from [livejournal.com profile] sonbon71. Must remember to thank her...

Mum got me a silver bracelet and a lovely pendant made of Italian Murano glass (it is swirly and cool)

Luke got me Storm of Zehir for NWN2, and he's going to make me a new footrest since the one I have sucks.

Bro got me a couple of Bon Jovi DVDs that I've already had on VHS for years (I didn't have the heart to tell him, hehe. Still, nice to have them on DVD I guess.)

Everyone else got me copious amounts of chocolate, which is great. I won't need to get any for myself in a long time. I just need to stop scoffing it so much...

I think the weathergods got lazy when taking holiday over here and decided to dump Norway's snow here on the States.

ugh, 14 inches of snoooooow... and 10 inches on the west coast in areas.

God jul!

Christmas was lovely for me too, full of eating, relatives and merriment.

Shiniest present? A pair of black leather boots. I can do some serious arse-kicking with those.

Haha, I got a load of chocolate and notebooks, plus the BBC version of the Narnia films.

*sigh* Wish the weathergods would dump the snow over here in sunny southern California, but noooooo... we're not high up enough.

From the 'rents: The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman and the first two complete series of The Hollowmen. And from myself, a number of books and DVDs that I bought after uni finished and have been saving up to enjoy during the days when it's so hot your brain melts. All in all, a good Christmas.

And God Jul to you too!

Sounds like you had a lovely holiday. I just got back from my in-laws (which was NOT the best part of my holiday), so I'm late in wishing people a Merry Christmas.

Hmm...shiniest present, other than cold hard cash, is a lovely bottle of Godiva chocolate liqueur. Mmmmm...
