There are bad ideas, and there are BAD IDEAS. I'm not even in that particular fandom, but wow.

At the recent LA convention, Misha Collins was quoted as saying…“I'm fascinated by this slash fic thing. I’ve read only one, but it stuck with me. I'd like to find out more, if I could do it without being molested." Well, Misha… Your wish is our command. (...) I am going to the convention in Vancouver in August. (...) I plan to put together 6-8 fanfiction stories and present it to him when I have the opportunity. I will have it bound and my hope is that it will have some great artwork on the front.

Also to be included, RPF and oi. Look, the actor might be a little curious, but it's not like the stuff is hard to find on the Internets. Actually giving him printouts of various hardcore stuff (with artwork!) and including RPF? No no no no no. BAD IDEA.

Stuff:

- I finished BSG crime fic. 'Love and Simplicity: A Murder on Galactica' and I clocked it in at a little over 7000 words. Haven't decided if I'll post it as one, or split it up in two or three pieces - we'll see. Beta needs a good, hard look at it first in any case. Officially longest BSG fic I've done, actually. Yay?
- I kind of want to write another BSG/Doctor Who crossover with Ten and Martha, doing Daybreak a bit AU, Ten curing Laura's cancer just because, the TARDIS speaking through a hybrid and Lee and Martha hooking up a bit. Um. I don't know about my brain sometimes.
- I've started reading a bit of RPF and feel naughty and guilty about it. It's all [livejournal.com profile] bsg_pornbattle's fault.
- Anyone want to look at my Adama/Roslin manifesto, just to make sure I don't say anything completely off? I've finished it, but it's not due until April 8th, so no rush.
- PMing me instead of using Page-A-Mod on [livejournal.com profile] time_and_chips when you're a long-time user of the the comm and I even have a bit in my user info you shouldn't do that? Makes me a little grumpy.
- Making me more grumpy: Reading some Kara/Lee shippers going off on Katee. UGH.
- I really, really hate Thaddius on achivement mode.
- More and more snow is vanishing, and you can actually see the ground in places. SPRING NORWAY SPRING. I think I will try to take some pictures of spring stuff here this year, because it's really lovely.
- The state has sent me my proposed tax returns for 2008 and whee, I get back a substansial sum this year too. Cha-ching.
- Wedding tomorrow, huh.
- It's Easter next week, with marzipan and crime and all the silly Norwegian Easter traditions I love. Plus holidays. Anyone got any plans?

The DW/BSG crossover sounds like awesomecakes. You should have never mentioned it, I'm going to bug you until you write it. :D
Don't diss your brain, it's a thing of wonder full of many cracky shiny ideas.

And I'm pretty psyched about Murder on Galactica as well, but you knew that already.

But I already did one. Two is going to get silly. You just want it to have hot Martha/Lee anyway :P

Hehe, yeah. I even mentioned your psyched-ness in my author's note :P I hope the final product will be to your satisfaction once I get it back from beta.

omg, just insane!! And totally inappropriate. Do you remember the goofy fan who (years ago) handed Ian and Nick a bunch of slash stories with the website urls clearly printed on them?

Never saw so many websites go down so fast in my life.!

Horribly inappropriate idea.

Keep it secret... keep it safe.

*hugs*

Only vaguely. I must have blocked out the details, because it's just so *facepalm*.

Nothing is secret on the Internet, but one needn't shove it in their faces and force their attention to it. That's just iffy. Little discreetion goes a long way.

Easter plans: Staying in Copenhagen and working on my thesis. A long way from heading up to the mountains, Kvikk lunch, and snow. :( Next year.

Aww.

I might do a short weekend trip up for some snow and Kvikk lunsj, but depends on the weather. It's brilliant right now, but I don't trust the weathergods.

I freaking LOVE your BSG/DW fic idea. The tardis speaking through a hybrid...that is GOLD.

And I'd love to read your AR manfiest!

From: [identity profile] misscam.livejournal.com
:D It struck me that the hybrids keep talking about being connected to the stream, and the TARDIS having the vortex in it - well, it seemed to suggest things in my head.

I stuck you on a filter, so you should be able to see it here. Let me know if you can't.

I'm worried it's a little too much recap and perhaps need a bit more meta, and if you have suggestions for more sites to add, that's awesome as well.

I would totally buy that. There are definite parallels there.

And either the link's not working or my puter is being a fecker!

:) Got another fic to post first, though. I've been a busy writing bee.

To be honest, Misha's new to this whole fandom thing. But this is a really, really bad idea. Especially the RPF. At the very least he's going to be seriously creeped out by the whole thing. At worst, he's going to think twice about attending cons.

As for Easter, going over for my aunt's house for dinner, as usual. My family's Easter traditions are kind of boring.

Date: 2009-03-31 06:42 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] misscam.livejournal.com
He's playing the angel, isn't he? I don't really follow the show, but I pick up stuff from flist posts about it.

Yeah, I mean, even if he does want to read anything like RPF, I'm sure he'd like to pick the setting himself. And it's not like it's hard to find. It just feels really tactless to force it on the guy, and in a public setting.

Boring can be nice at times too, though. I'm totally boring for Christmas, but I do enjoy it.

You know, it never ceases to amaze me that I'm technically involved in SPN fandom, and yet you are my source for all that is going on within in. I'm obviously a lot more inactive then I sometimes realize.

I would read the BSG/Who crossover fic...

Very much looking forward to the posting of the BSG crime fic as well ;-P

Heh, what can I say. I have a sizable flist and pick up on stuff. A lot of people I know are into Supernatural and they alert me to things they know I find of interest.

:D You'll have to have a little patience, since there's another one in line to be posted first. But at least it's all written, so that job is done.

marzipan and crime?

Yes. Norway has a tradition for watching and reading crime for Easter. It's tradition, and no one knows why. It just is.

*giggles* I say go with that bad idea of yours... and take a picture of the poor man's face while he is reading.... Even more- why don't you just find Eddie and Mary and give them the RPF the people wrote during the porn battle?

I know, I know... I am completely evil ^_^ and I feel a little guilty about reading these stuff about Mary and Eddie, too.... but since I have always liked them as a real life couple and since I am really disapproving of his 31 years younger wife ( probably the only big fault Eddie has that I just cannot stand... for realz.) , I think I'm pretty happy to read PRF :D:D

Hey, not my ideas :P I'd certainly never do that. Some Supernatural fangirl who came up with this.

Not the first time ideas like this have come up - and some have even carried them out. Oi.

I'm not really that bothered by the age difference - love doesn't always follow the expected. (I'm more iffed in cases of younger women marrying what have been father figures to them - not because of the age, but the authority thing, if that makes sense.) But um, yeah, been reading a bit of MM/EJO myself and feeling guilty. Oops.

Date: 2009-04-01 04:44 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] laurandbillever.livejournal.com
Ahh, the ideas are good nevetheless hihih ^_^
Yeah... one adama/roslin frakker really showed Eddie some of the famfiction but the proper ones, of course. I remember that he liked them...

I know that love doesn't follow the expected and I am perfectly fine with that. But there are certain patters in Eddie's mariages ( the older he got, the younger women he married) which is just not fine with me. And I perfectly understand what you mean by the authority thing because I myself like older men. Such cases end badly. Really.
Still the Eddie/Mary fics are fun ^_^

Date: 2009-04-01 11:28 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] misscam.livejournal.com
Oi. Well, some celebrities are more easy about it than others and Eddie's always been very enthusiastic about the fans in general. But I think I could ever have shown it to him - too embarassed, for one thing!

Eh, given I don't know the details of his life, I'm just not going to judge, you know? I wish it was more equal with older women marrying younger men as common as the opposite in general, though.

Total guilty pleasure this week. I'm bad.

Date: 2009-04-02 06:59 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] laurandbillever.livejournal.com
yeah... the embarrassement issue is always here... ^_^ But you can always give someone else's fic :P:P With the author's permission, of course :D I think this was what that frakker did...

I'm not judging.... I just don't like it. And yes- it would be really good without the whole double standart about men and women.... utopia, utopia....

you are not bad- you are just a fan :P:P

D:

God, so when I read an interview where Misha Collins said he'd run across slash fiction, I found it funny, but NEVER would it cross my mind to give him some.

The fourth wall is there for a reason.

Don't need to write a BSG/DW crossover just watch L&O: UK or is that what set it off? ;-)

I hope the wedding goes well.

THat's a bit what set it off, yes... Mostly I saw people joke about it and then I started thinking more seriously about it, and that's always a bad idea.

It did! I put up pictures.

Yeah, mine too. I remember that Smallville fan with the sextoy gift and just the thought makes me cringe. Ack, no.

I think I might have to write it. My brain is being annoyingly insisting.

I remember that *cringe*. Though all I know about Smallville and Supernatural fandoms I've learned from Fandom Wank, though I've heard some of the BSG actors have had to put up with some inappropriate behavior at cons too.

Doooooooo it, your brain is compelling you :).
