They've just lost their homes, been traumatized, possibly lost people they know and are in fear of aftershocks, of which there have already been several - that ain't like no camping I've been on. In brighter news, have written over 5000 words on my Doctor Who/BSG crossover and am almost done. Just gotta fiddle a bit with the draft and settle on a title, which can be such a pain. So a question for people who know Latin out there - what would 'doctor in the box' be in Latin? I'm considering making a play on 'deus ex machina', but my Latin is non-existent.

Funny thing, writing a story. It so often evolves as you're doing it, going unexpected places and sometimes ending up as something a little bit foreign to even you.

Speaking of fanfics, return of the 'I'm going to publish Twilight fanfiction!' saga of DOOM. Oh dear. There's dumb, and there's that.

Just the sound of it makes me wince. My cat likes to extend his claws when he's happily purring too, and there's been a few 'ow ow OW!' situations, yes.

What a total douchebag! He sounds just like Dubya did when he toured the Gulf Coast after Katrina and declared that everything was going smoothly. Heckofa job, Berlusconi! Yeah, I'm sure after my elderly parents lost their home of 50 years and everything in it to Katrina they were excited to spend the next several months in a tiny trailer as they pieced the remnants of their life together. Thank him very much for that - I'll have a think and look and see what I make of it. Since 'box' would be reference to the TARDIS, I think arca would be the closest. The others in thet list seem a bit too specific.

Oh WORD. so often, more often than not actually, I'll start writing something and it becomes something else instead. Like you've got what you think is a Lily seed but when it sprouts and grows its totally a Tulip. which is just as awesome but not what you were expecting!

You too? Only mine thought it was a good idea to walk all over my boobs as well, and he occasionally uses them to hang one when I pick him up. If I ever get asked why I have scratches in my cleavage, it will be all his fault.
