Welcome to my rather exclusive WoW filter - now you get to witness me be a very sad geek over a game.




This is dead Leo the Blind, aka supremely annoying boss fight. He does whirwinds that give you massive damage, turns into a demon and then gives five players a demon of their own to fight. I hate him. Last time, he gave me demon to fight three times in a row. But he did snuff it, hurrah!



This is going-boom Magtherion, affectionately known as Maggy. He ain't too hard but requires clube clicking to defeat at certain points. I'm usually "clickclickclick" shouter on Ventrilo (the voice program we use during raids). I am supremely annoying at it....



... but as a reward you get to see Maggy's head on a spike, hurrah!



This is Solarian. Solarian is a silly astromancer who likes to throw arcane missiles at you and turn people into the bomb. Then she turns into a void walker and the fight is won. My pet is being photographer in this picture.



And this. Al'ar the phoenix has died twice. The fight is a bit of a pain to execute, but he gave my hunter a shiny new gun...



... which I took to Naxxaramas to kill Mr. Bigglesworth, Kel'thuzad the lich's pet cat. (Spot the reference.) Naxxaramas used to be the hardest raid instance in the game before the expansion came. It'll come into play again for the next expansion. Sounds like fun.



A frog on a hippogriff. Naturally.



I am playing chopper in the wind with my ax. As you do.



Hunters can feign death. I've feigned death as a frog, complete with dead!gurgle. It's rather hilarious to do and I do it at least once a raid. Heh.

Is it just me, or does Maggy's head look a bit like movie!Balrog's head>

And Austin Powers is really kind of dumb, but far too funny.

Does a bit, yeah. WoW shamelessly borrows fantasy stuff all over the place, and there's a gazillion references in the game.

There's also "Linken" and a He-Man with his tiger in the game. It always cracks me up. I like a game with a sense of humour.

I've heard about those cubes! You do have to wonder sometimes what the developers were thinking when they came up with these fights.

Developer 1: "I know! We'll make them click cubes to distract them! It'll be fantastic!"
Developer 2: "Clicky wha?"

I love your warp stalker/hunter (not sure which you chose of the two).

They are so bloody annoying! You have to have five people clicking them at a certain time or you wipe the raid, so the chance of one person effing it up for all is large. Plus he also does an earthquake thing that knocks you around just before you have click them too.

But at least there's some variation in the boss fights, heh. Be repetitive if they were all tank and spank. I am having slight anxiety over Kael fight already, though. He's mad. Four adds, kill them one by one. When you've done that, you have to fight them all at once. Then you have to fight legendary weapons. Then you can start fighting Kael. Supposedly it takes almost half an hour. Eeep.

My warp stalker is my hunter's pet. Rhaegal. He's a dear.

Me and lotus79 and lvling some belves. They crack me up. I particulary like how their ears flop as they run. Mine's a paladin, her's a priest.

My druid is lvl 50 now. Rawr.

Given that the end-game content in WoW requires 25 people in a co-ordinated effort (used to be 40), it rather kinda has to. Though we do get server hiccups and some of the cities can be slow going.

I really need to get xpearl... I still use the standard WoW interface (with other addons, of course). But still. I want a focus target up 24/7.

X-Perl is shiny. I used to have normal interface as well, but I like X-Perl heaps more.

The world of AddOns is one of many choices.
