New Doctor Who, attack a reporter blame a zombie, Easter accomplishments

So. There was new Who.

Random stuff:

- Plot was a bit rubbish. That's like tradition.
- Liked the interplay between the Doctor and Christina, actually. Bit one-note, but it's hard to beat Donna and possibly Christina could have grown awesome in a full series. As tradition, snogging occured. I cry a bit foul on why he didn't take her with - he's lost so many companions and only now he decides to stop having them? Is he having a midlife crisis at tenth generation all of a sudden?
- Yay UNIT. With Quartermass mention and the awesome Malcom. But really, can't UNIT just once get to be awesome and not get loaded with issues?
- When the Doctor said 'end of the line', my mind immidiately went to BSG. BSG owns my brain, y/y?
- LOL 'lost everything in the Icelandic banks'. Oh, poor Iceland, now you're even made it as a joke on Doctor Who.
- "The worse it gets, the more I love it." Yeah Doctor, that's you all right. So is the hero speech and the wanting to save all and the fantasy of a normal life he still chooses not to have. (Think he likes to have the fantasy - reality is more of a bitch.)
- Almost everyone got to be useful in ways. This I approve of.
- Flying bus, best goodbye present ever y/n?
- Omnious foreshadowing is omnious. Knock four times, hmmm. Fandom will be mulling that one over.

Overall: Liked, but wasn't overwhelmed. Good fun at times. Some lines I really liked. I give it mostly approval.

There is also new Red Dwarf (OMG) which I will comment on when I've seen all the parts. But I loved that show so much back in the day; revisiting it is lovely either way.

Meanwhile, Woody Harrelson is accused of assaulting a paparazzi and offers the following statement:

"I wrapped a movie called Zombieland, in which I was constantly under assault by zombies, then flew to New York, still very much in character. With my daughter at the airport I was startled by a paparazzo who I quite understandably mistook for a zombie."

... Either he's being really funny or really scary. I can't make up my mind.

Easter accomplishments of the Internet kind:

- Posted BSG crime fic. That was fun. And fitting of Norway's "Easter crime" tradition, which none of you get. But that's all right. We don't even know why we have it ourselves.
- Finished BSG/Doctor Who crossover with Adama/Roslin, Lee/Martha and the Doctor getting punched in the nose by the Admiral. With beta, whee.
- Finished Kara/Lee piece for faithful and much too lovely beta lyricalviolet, which is with another beta so she doesn't have to do work on her own gift-fic.
- Wrote and posted MM/EJO RPF. (Requires membership at bsgrpf to read.) Am going to hell. Then again, was going already.
- Fixed my LJ memories because they were a mess. Now I just have to remember to use them.
- Finished and posted my Adama/Roslin manifesto to ship_manifesto.
- Got my shaman to level 69, and my guild now has Satherion with two drakes down on heroic. Yes, that's World of Warcraft.
- Spent too much time pondering if I should sign up to bsg_remix or not. Am torn. Anyone have good or bad experiences with that?

Lazy Easter like whoa, oh yes. Though I did also do the first biking of the year in brilliant, brilliant sunshine. IT'S SPRING. This makes me ridiculously happy like you have no idea.

Bill Adama punching Ten in the face makes that the best crossover ever :D.

I liked the Who special, though it was marred a bit by the fact that I couldn't stand Christina. Though it was great to see UNIT shooting at monsters. Real old Who there.

Tentotally deserves that punch - in general, he could do with one now and then ;)

I love me some UNIT, though I get a bit annoyed with what is done with them sometimes. But I loved their little rocket launchers, lol.
