The next part of Merry and Pippin's giant slash orgy is up.

Also wrote a prologue to the still untitled Legolas/Gimli slash story I've been fiddling on, but I'm not sure if I should go with it or not. Decisions, decisions.

Christmas was good. Got several DVDs, some books, some winter clothes and a CD. And of course driving licence paid for (I have only just started to learn how to drive at age 23. Sad, really). Thanks dad!

And now the year is almost over, and one of the Norwegian newspapers did a 'things we don't want to see again in 2004' (they included Geroge Bush, to my great amusement), so I thought I'd do one too...

Ten Things Cam Does Not Want To See Again in 2004

1. Most wanted deck of cards.
2. Freedom fries.
3. Diagrams of bladders.
4. George Bush.
5. Spam mail (fat chance)
6. American Idol contestants
7. Faked plagiarisms
9. Pink 'Bachelor' weddings.
10. Rosenborg winning the football league yet again.

That's those I could think of right now... You lot got any?

Randomly off-topic, but is it too late to offer help with Gits for Venus? I wasn't around when you had that stroke of brilliance, but I would be more than happy to offer my assistance... I could publicize the event, I know a lot of fangirls, Suvians, and general idiots.

Hey, the more the merrier! And if all Gits are to be shot into space, we need all the help we can get.

1. George Bush/Dick Cheney/Donald Rumsfeld/Paul Wolfowitz/Any of those corrupt chickenhawk scumbags. And no more election shenanigans!
2. Ben Affleck and/or J.Lo
3. Any ________ Idol people, anywhere (although I would rather see them than hear them, if I must)
4. Any movie that doesn't have the words "Lord," "Rings," "Return," and "King" in the title winning Best Pic at the Academy Awards
5. The same amount of cat puke in my apartment as in 2003. Take some Pepto-Bismol, kids, please.
6. Terrorism. JUST FUCKING STOP IT. And the same for gang wars. Take your misplaced macho somewhere else, like Uranus.
7. Gas-wasting oversized SUVs and fabric-wasting oversized pants.
8. Faked bullying/harrassment episodes. Faked cancer is also bloody rude, for that matter.
9. Iraq's weapons of mass destruction. Oh, wait, I won't see them, will I? Silly me. Don't want to see Osama Bin Laden either. Oh, wait, never mind, no chance of that!
10. Anything, anywhere, that has anything to do with Michael F*ing Jackson.

1. Hate crimes (But in my country? No way. Feh.)
2. Hilary Duff
3. Reality TV
4. My mother refusing to recycle
5. Bush as president (I'll die, I'll die, I'll f***ing die ...)
6. More/continued wars with Middle Eastern countries
7. Reality TV
8. "Genuine" manga that reads from right to left
9. Avril Lavigne
10. (I was going to say "Reality TV" to once and for all express the deep and unadulterated hatred in my soul for the American media, but I suppose you all have gotten the point by now.)

(So instead ...)

Who is this Duff chick? Was it the one who starred in a hideous movie about going to Italy or something?

1. George Bush. And his cabinet, cronies and competitors.
2. More/ongoing war that was declared to be over in March 2003 and is STILL GOING ON. (I really do not want to see any friends' names on the casualty lists.)
3. Jennifer Lopez/Avril Lavigne/Britney Spears.
4. Mary Sues and Marty Stus. (No chance of this, but I still don't want to see them.)
5. Reality TV.
6. Netspeak.
7. Any Academy Award for Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor that does not go to Elijah Wood and Sean Astin.
8. Any Suvian author whining that she should be exempt from criticism based on her age, her mysterious terminal disease that she can't spell, her sensitivity or her unappreciated genius.
9. Faked plagiarism, fradulent bullying, nonexistent cancer...and people forgiving liars for all of the above.
10. David Boreanaz's flabby stomach.

I was going to join in, but my list basically consisted of things the Bush Administration has screwed up -- the foreign policy idiocies, the clear-cutting of the environment, the entire Middle East debacle, the wrecked economy, the sub-literate moron in the Oval Office, and so on. Well, those, and reality TV shows. Isn't everyone tired of them yet? If I never had to hear about another one of those again, I'd be very happy.

Actually, I'll add "bad movie versions of Dr. Seuss books" to the list. I like Dr. Seuss, and I don't appreciate what they're doing to him.

Things would be good if someone but Rosenborg would win the league. And if the new coaches could whip the male football team into something semblant to success, I'm not demanding they win, I'm demanding that they at least TRY to win.

... and not be as cheap with the ball as Uncle Scrooge is with his money would also help. Dude, it's called football. If you're best without the ball you're just playing 'foot'. The ball is rather required.

Miss Cam, I love you. I'd glomp you but it's too disrespectful. So I'll just bow and grovel instead. I'm not worthy to kiss your feet. *bows and worships*
