Thoughts on various telly I have watched this week below.
Doctor Who! I think I can like Eleven a lot, actually. He's the Doctor (and still a bastard), but in a new incarnation and it's odd and refreshing at once. Kinda like the switch between Nine and Ten, actually. Wee!Amy is adorable. Adult!Amy hits with a bat and watches people undress. I like that. I'll give her and Eleven a few more episodes to settle in with me, but I like the potential a lot so far. The plot wasn't the greatest ever, but the episode had that new feel and sense of going fast and enough little moments to make me enarmoured. New TARDIS! All ten previous Doctors shown! Plus, there was running. Doctor Who must have running.
In conclusion: Yes. This could be very good.
FlashForward! Okay, the show feels better after it came back from its break, but it's still uneven and it feels like it's being patched up a fair bit. Still, love Janis and Demetri, Simon is getting interesting edges and the Benford marriage seems to be a goner. Not that this is particulary spoilery since it has seemed fairly obvious a while. (I am very shallowly missing a scene with Lloyd and Olivia after his kidnapping and a bit of devolpment there, since Mark is not doing much for me.) Hoping it kicks it up a notch more, quality-wise.
In conclusion: Give me good writing, more character devolpment and snogging.
Law and order: UK! I am very late to the party, but I like. British resonates a bit more with me than American, as it's closer culturally. The characters click, the cases mostly work for me and the accents are delicious. Also, I think I might ship both Alesha/Matt and Alesha/James, for different reasons and different kind of chemistry. Clearly the obvious solution to this is threesome?
In conclusion: Threesome?
