Tromsø-Rosenborg 4-1

YESSSSSSS! My precious, precious team... *hugs all* Beating the reigining champion 12 years in a row is enough to bring a tear to one's eye. Not just beating Rosenborg - smashing them as so very few have. It's made even better by the fact that last year my poor team was almost sent down a division. Now they're leading the series. Granted, it's only 5 matches in, but still... *sniffles proudly*

To add to my great joy, my other team also won their match this round and seem to finally be in gear. Fingers crossed for this lasting.

Happy, *happy* days.

I'll happily join you in the proud sniffling, even if I'm sniffling for a completly different sport. My AFL team, after losing 5 out of their first 6 games came through this weekend to slaughter their arch rivals, who they haven't been able to win against for years (early 2000 was their last win and that was a once off), by 32 points. So yes, against all odds, champagne (or as we're talking about sport here, perhaps beer is more appropriate) for every one!

*hugs every member of the Crows, even those on the rookie list who didn't get to play*

Good for them! How's the Brisbane Lions (?) doing?

AFL is a weird, weird game, but decidedly amusing.

Yeah, Lions are still going strong - looking good for their 4th premiership in a row. *grrmuttergrr* I think they only team to defeat them has been the top placed team and even then only by 1 point so they're second on the ladder.

And AFL is the game of the gods. Assuming that the gods are beer swilling, ugg boot wearing, abuse hurling bogans who like watching buff men in shorts chase a funny shaped ball around an oval. Which I really hope they are because then we'll all get along with them just fine when I make it to the afterlife. : )

Ah, kickass Lions. Not that I care that much, but Brisbane was a nice town to live in.

If the Gods like that, they must like (European) football as well, so I'll have much fun in the afterlife as well. Huzzah for buff men in shorts chasing balls!
