Well, the good thing about having a gazillion people asking my opinion of them is that I actually went back to read some old LJ entries and were highly amused. Plus it did remind me that I have many, many different people on my LJ. And some of you even like Bush and still hang out here. It's astounding.

Speaking of astounding - gaze upon the review I just got in my inbox.

The following review has been submitted to: Once More Into the Urple Depths of
OFUM Chapter: 38

From: .o0 chibi 0o.()

konnichiwa! you should rite a sequal! taht is so KEWL!! U GOTTA FINISH DIS!
LEGOLAS IS MINE --.o0 chibi 0o.

The smeg, says Miss Cam. Is one of you pulling my leg here? That review is too awful to be true.

And yes, I am better, thanks for asking. Colds luckily pass relatively fast. I am still coughing, but my head doesn't hurt every time I cough now. I think I will live.

And here's an astounding Bushism - in a speech on cracking down on frivolous medical lawsuits, Mr Bush said:

"Too many OB-GYNs aren't able to practice their love with women all across this country."

*eyes sentence* Yes, that's what is wrong with the world. Not enough love with OB-GYNs. Let's remedy that and have one lovingly today!

Eew, is that a review from an otaku? *eyes the use of the word "konnichiwa" and the name "Chibi" suspiciously*

My favorite Bushism since last month has been that one where he was doing that repetition trick of his again in a speech and said, "Our enemies are innovative and resourceful -- and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people -- and neither do we."

Heehee, my Personality Psychology professor today said something about how a "good theory" means you can predict something by it ahead of time and be right, and as an example, "So, we may be able to predict that Danielle here will vote Bush..." and was interrupted by an immediate, "NO! I won't!" and the class booing Bush. Then in the next class my Ancient Civilizations professor mentioned the name Bush and then that class booed in response (and the professor laughed at that). Ah, the highlights of my day. :D

Coughing sucks, but glad to hear you're better...

HOWL!

That's my favorite Bushism too--truer words were never spoken! In his stupidity, yet he reveals his genuine nature! HAHAHAHAHA--SOB!!!

*pats* There, there.

Y'know, they did this international polling on who people in 35 other countries would vote for between Kerry and Bush and which country do you think gave Kerry the highest numbers?

Er...gee...I'm gonna guess...Norway?

Do you think they'd accept me as a political refugee on November 3rd? At this point, I'd contemplate moving to Lapland!

Bush is pulling ahead in Ohio. OHIO! Liberal-state-extraordinaire! We are doomed! DOOMED!

If you are moving to Lapland I suggest you dress warmly because it gets rather cold up there and it also gets very dark around that time of the year.

That's right! *gives cookie* Norway and Germany, in fact. Here's 74% would vote for Kerry. 7% for Bush. The rest doesn't care or don't want either. (In fact, only three countries of the 35 would prefer Bush - Poland, Nigeria and the Philliphines)

I'm not sure you'd qualify as a political refugee, but perhaps if the Norwegian foreign department is feeling really pissed at Bush...

(Sporfle!) The political refugee thing was facetious--although with the way this administration is going, with their anti-Bush=anti-American thing, I might well get my citizenship revoked by the time they're done!

Well, if worst come to worst, this country does have gay marriages, so I would be willing to offer you a marriage of convinience to get you a permit to stay in my dear country.

(Hee hee!) Wowser, how's that for bragging rights, getting a spontaneous marriage proposal from Miss Cam!

I'll keep it in mind! :-D

Now, now. It would be a charity project - to save your sanity, lest it perish under four more years of Shrub the Second. I'd offer you my brother, but he's on stand-by for another poor American. YOu'd have to settle for me.

Heaven knows, my sanity would be tested under another four years of that sleazebag.

Heehee -- it's hard to tell whether you should burst out laughing or roll your eyes or fear for your life when you hear a President say that. I guess it's fitting to do all three at once in this case. ^_^;

What be an otaku, exactly?

Bush booing is the highlight of any day. Except for days with Bush-trout-smacking. Huzzah!

An otaku is pretty much an annoyingly rabid fangirl/fanboy of the anime/manga world. From my experiences, they're the types of people who incorporate Japanese into their speech whenever they can (whether they know it well enough or not), do school reports about anime characters if they can, and very often will not shut up or calm down about their fandom. (I have a more complicated explanation, but it looked unnecessarily wordy and know-it-allistic when I typed it out. ^_^;)

Or the Dumping-Sea-Food-Chowder-On-Bush days. Maybe if enough of that horrid stuff covered his face, we wouldn't have to see that smirk of his or deal with him saying those stupid Bushisms of his...

Hmm, I'm sending my voter registration form in today and don't know if I want to register with a political party, and I'm tempted to put "Smack-Bush-With-a-Trout Party" or "New Vinlanders" or something. ;)

Ah, I see. I don't have much experience with the world of anime/manga, so I haven't much come across these people. I'd probably smack them with a trout, though. Know the language before you speak it!

New Vinland does need a political movement in the US. Gotta win over the masses and all. And start official Seafood-torture-for-Bush days.

The word "otaku" also has ominous connotations in certain circles because there was a famous one some time back who murdered a good few people in accordance with his favourite anime. Or something like that.

An otaku is someone who knows a lot about anime or manga, not necessarily a stupid illiterate anime fan.

We just call those "fanbrats" and poke them with long sticks or Unusual Innuendo. (plus three!)
