Spent yesterday working with the Save the Children, where I'm on the board of the student association. Got home exhausted, but happily found my After the Deluge DVD had arrived. After the Deluge was an Aussie mini series I saw while there and fell in love with. It starred David Wenham, Hugo Weaving and Catherine McClemets, among others. And so I made some screencaps.Under the LJ-cut you will find a small selection.







Amazing what a bit of shallowness can do to cheer up an otherwise tiresome day, yes. (But why does this LJ not have a shallow mood? Hmpf.)

Aside from the eyecandy, the series had a good story and was acted really well, so it's not all shallow.

I don't actually live in Australia these days, though. Now live in my homecountry of Norway. Still, I enjoyed a fair amount of Aussie drooling while I was there. And Hugh Jackman singing Grease. Good times.

Actually, the Hugh Jackman singing Grease thing was a while back and because John Travolta was visiting Australia. They had a bit of fun and Hugh sang some of Sandy's songs while Travolta sang his part. It was pretty amusing. The insanity people get up to in Australia...

It aired in 2003, as I recall. So fairly recent. I just managed to see it before heading back to my little cold land.

Larp looks like fun. Or at least the people looked like they had fun. I have no idea what they were saying, though. Dutch is so weird to listen to.

I live in Australia. I was there when it was shown on tv. My mum even taped it.

I CAN'T BELIEVE I MISSED IT BLOODY HELL!!!!!!!

And it's even more annoying because now there's NO good Aussie dramas showing any more. The commercial channels are only showing stupid US sitcoms and more bloody reality shows, SBS is all foreign and the ABC only shows the Bill.

DAMMIT!
