And my birthday draws ever closer... *checks head for grey hairs*

My little Warrick/Catherine story is up - Nevada Sun. I'm a bit said there isn't more about this pairing - Grissom/Sara gets all the attention. Wah. I like G/S too, but... Sniffle. Anyway, it's R-rated, so watch your innocent little minds, minors.

The picture in this story cracks me up. If I can think of a good text, that is so becoming an icon. Hee.

Tomorrow, the world championships of Nordic events start. Norwegians will go temporary insane. If you spot one, vacate the area immidiately, unless you really want to hear about more skiis than you should fill a mountain with. The situation should return to normal after a few weeks, preliminary inquiries show. And if you're wondering what the boys look like - very lightly dressed Norwegian cross country skiers.

The Kyoto protocol came into force today and our Norwegian environment minister celebrated this by going to a church service. There's apparently a Green Priest movement of some kind. Heh.

My country is very, very odd sometimes.

Ooh my! As for the pictures of the ski-y people... Oh.. Wow... Yummy. I think all Norwegians are hot.

Heh. Well, don't know about all, but we have some nice specimens, that's for sure.

Y'know, the phrase "lightly dressed" does tend to imply that they're wearing something...

They're wearing skin :P

I'm not at all sure that counts...

Grissom/Sara certainly does seem to have the lion's share of the fandom. At least, where fic is concerned. I'm not sure about the rest, because I'm still so bloody new at it, but I'd wager a guess that much of the discussion/analysis/general parts of the fandom is G/S-based.

I'd be more inclined to read Catherine/Warrick fic, but I'm not particularly enthralled with Catherine these days. Or most days. I wish there were more general fic or even case files. But case files demand a certain amount of technical knowledge, which can make it challenging to write. Particularly if you weren't a science enthusiast in school, not unlike myself.

Happy early birthday! And happy Kyoto Day! I'm sure my premier (head of the provincial government) has keeled over in disgust and dismay. Or maybe that's just wishful thinking on my part.

I really like case files, but yeah, they are tricky to write. I have sociology and psycology courses under my belt, so I feel I can touch that aspect, but all the various legal techincalities and specialized knowledge about forensics is easy to trip up on. And it's not exactly easy to fake. I have a sort of half idea for a very long CSI epic going over a year of their lives with various cases, but it would be a hell of a thing to even get started on.

I'm seriously tempted to spearehead more of a Cath/War community, especially if certain spoilers are true. It could co-exist with GS without problems, unlike the Cath/Gil brigade. I'm pretty sure G/S is the biggest fraction, at least online.

Heh. I guess he wasn't a fan of it? We should send him some green house gas emissions as a gift.

I'm trying to write a mostly case file with a hint of G/S UST/friendship, but it isn't easy. Alas, it may not get written.

Isn't there already a Cath/War community? Yo!Bling? Or however they call it. I thought that it would be popular enough to have a yahoogroup or something. As it is, I have nothing against the ship. I'm just not actively shipping for it. But I'm certainly not bothered by any Cath/War scenes.

No, Ralph Klein isn't a big fan of anything that isn't a huge capitalist venture. The environment, health care, education - those are expenditures and stand in the way of making money. Stupid, alcoholic, wife-beating, neo-con asshole.

I can never settle for UST. Sigh.

Yeah, there are some Cath/War yahoogroups, but none too active and a lot of crap fic. Sigh again.

I see your love of Ralp Klein is about on par of my love of George W. Shrub.

I don't care how odd your country is if you have men like THAT! Sweden? What Sweden? What is Sweden?! *taps foot impatiently* So yes, one Visa please!

I spent weeks before my 20th b-day hunting for gray hair. You made my life so much easier by cracking jokes about this.[/sarcasm] Mwa ha! Prepare to accept your due. But then you are 4 years older than me. Hmmm, maybe you'll get them before me. Must tell me what it's like so that I can figure out how to stay eternally young!

Place that order with my government, not me, you twonk.

Yes, I have no doubt I'll get to senility before you. Lucky, lucky me. But then, you'll probably have to spend those four years with Bush jr. jr. as president... Muhahaha!

I'm getting my passport and I'm out of here! I'll be sitting somewhere on Champs-Elysées, drinking Veuve Clicquot and laughing my head off!

*ogles at hot, hot norwegian skiers*
And by the by, those pictures are most certainly NOT SCHOOL-SAFE.
If my teacher saw me looking at those, he'd have a fit. Poor old guy, what he sees is an innocent baby-girl instead of the hormone-rampaging teenager that I really am. *sigh*

And I agree, your country IS odd. But cute, like most Nordic countries are.

We finns are eat this mud-like substance called mämmi (http://www.4learning.co.uk/wearefrom/finland/images/mammi.jpg) in the Easter, you have your adorable lutefisk and Sweden has Göran Persson.
From: [identity profile] misscam.livejournal.com
Ah, don't worry, in a few years you'll be a visible shameless lusting hussy with the rest of us who can't look innocent if she tried.

You saying Gøran Persson is a food? Hee! That would explain a few things. And that mammi looks downright disgusting. I approve.

Yes, but I don't think it's available outside of Norway, alas. You'll have to use your imagination.

Thanks :)

Heh, I love your Nemi-icon... feels just like that over here, too... Snow. Why?

Oh, well, because of the hott skiers, obviously...

Heh. I guess we have to suffer the cold and snow for the hotness of the skiers...

Mmm, the Norwegian skiers. It feels decidedly unfair that the cross country stuff is on NRK, and I only get TV2 here. (Also, Danish television sending Cross Country? Probably not very likely.)

*pats* You poor, poor thing. I suffer with you, as I watch them skiers ski and ski...

Well, I did some reprogramming on the television set. I now get in a very very bad version of NRk. (think snowstorm television in black/white, on what is normally a colour television set...)

But I get audio, though that doesn't help with looking at the skiers in their tight ski suits.

Skiers in tight ski suits should be a human right. *nods*

*gasp* I finally just saw your livejournal layout. *teh swoon* Prettiness!

Mm, prettiness...like those very pretty Norwegian skiers wearing nothing not much.

Very swoon :)

It's too bad they can't wear as little when skiing, huh? Ah well, it's an imperfect world.
