Happy birthday, darling brother! Heading over to the parents' later today, to eat good food and cake.

Meme spotted around:
There's been an accident, and my memory's been wiped. I have no recollection of who I am. Tell me about myself. What do you know about me? What kind of person am I? What are my likes and dislikes? How did we meet and how long have we known each other? Is there one thing in particular that stands out about me? Tell me who I am.

Post this in your own LJ to see what people say about you!

I came across an idea in [livejournal.com profile] gehayi's LJ - a DVD commentary for fanfic. Basically, you take a fic you've written and make various comments throughout, explaining things the reader might not pick up or just give various tidnits and what-not. So I was wondering - this anything any of you be interested in for a few of my fics? If so, which ones? And no, I am not doing all of OFUM - nominate chapters if you must.

Also, GIP! I love it when people make me icons... *ogles* And I love BBC, period.

Ah, I love the BBC too right now. They are releasing "Waking the Dead" (Brit CSI), on DVD in a couple of months. We've been waiting for five years. *rubs hands in glee*

Ah, I've heard about that, but never had the chance to see it, alas. BBC makes some of the best programs...

You are an awesome evil Norwegien (sp?) Brunette (sp?). You are a fierce protecter of canon, specifically LOTR and CSI (that I know of, you may have more). You hate bad grammar, and your pet-peeves are your/you're mistakes. And other grammar/spelling mistakes tick you off mightily.

You like hot, hot men (preferably drenched in oil), and really hate Bush (along with many ^_^). (And any pun in there is unintended.)

I've known OF you for several years (three is several....), but I think the first time I spoke to you was maybe two or less years ago. I sent a couple e-mails to you, reporting aweful, aweful fics, and I IM-ed you to talk about mini-balrogs.

You have an awesome snarky sense of humor, and have an air of command that make people who aren't on your side run away from you.

If only BUsh would run far, far away from - like smack into a tree. Ah, but one can only hope.

OK, let's see. You're 25. You are worried about world events, and think Bush is a dangerous idiot, and Howard is a dangerous sly bastard. We first met on the ratfic list in the nineties, and we first met in person in Brisbane in... 2002? Crap, I can't remember. You're a prolific reader and writer, and you like to spork badfics and roll your eyes at wangst.

btw, happy birthday to Marius... enjoy the cake!

2003. I was just about to head back to Norway, if you remember.

And I still shudder to think of a spawn of Howard and Bush...

I remember that much, just the year escaped me... I'd thought it must be before I did Richard III. and I've just realised I came over in June, and RIII was semester 2.

Is it weird that I classify timeframes by what plays I've performed in?

Meme time. Okay, you're Miss Cam. You're a Norwegian Journalist, a fanatic defender of her CSI OTP, Katherine/Warrick, and you have a very snarky sense of humor. You hate rape as a plot device, and like David Wenham hot and oiled. You like British humor a lot. We don't really know each other that personally, though I know of you because you write kickass Lord of the Rings fanfiction, and you know of me 'cause you're friends with my best friend and 'cause you graciously host a story that I help write. It bears repeating that you are Norwegian, as you are convinced that Norway is the center of the universe, and you will probably make fun of me for thinking that 65 degrees is cold. But everyone does that.

Duck now. You misspelled Catherine...and you don't want to meet a mini-Eklie/field kit with legs/whatever the CSI minis are.

And you think 65 is cold? I wish it would be that warm all of spring break...but meanwhile I'm very happy with a nice mild 28.

Shit. Would it aid my defense to say that 1) I've never watched CSI and 2) My real name is Katherine-with-a-K, and that's how I've spelled it my whole life? Probably not. I'll run now.

The coldest it gets here is 30 degrees, and that happens perhaps once a year in the dead of winter in the middle of the night. And thats when we're all hiding under layers of heated blankets, hoping we don't freeze to death in the night. Spring break is 80 degrees, 75 if we're lucky.

Chicken :P:P Bak, bak. *tosses herring after*

I see you need a crash course in how to live with lovely cold. And learn to ski, while at it.

I think I'd like the commentary bit... none of my fics are worth commenting on though, except for people's eyes bursting into flame... I suck like that. Saa saa saa... hum... I think I'd like to do 'The Sea Sings a Lullaby', myself.

I enjoyed it... it makes you FEEL things for the characters involved... and it's been a long, long time since I've connected with a story that well.

Ah. Yeah, it's not always easy to find stories that you really do feel.

BBC?

Not all, friend away. I'll friend back - this is an open sort of LJ, anyway.

My fondness for BBC - well, I grew up with a gazillion of their programs. For children, humour, nature documentaries, dramas, crime... I also respect their newsorganisation. All in all, they're just given me a lot of good and educational TV through the years and thus, I feel the love.

Totally Off topic

Hey Cam.

Yes, I'm still working on your banners. I've been playing with different stuff but I need more. Can you tell me where I can find some large, hi-resolution photos with G/S and W/C? Thank you.

(Good eps are Crate 'n Burial, Sex, Lies and Larvea, Too Tough to Die, Gentle, Gentle, Chaos Theory, Bully for You, Scuba Doobie-Doo, The Finger, Burden of Proof, Primum Non Nocere, The Hunger Artist, A Little Murder, Blood Lust, Play With Fire, Assume Nothing, All for Our Country, Homebodies, Butterflied, Bloodlines, Down the Drain, Nesting Dolls, Big Middle.)

I also have the first four seasons on DVD and can easily make high res screencaps, if you need more.
