Did you know there's Lutefisk on Mars? (Another image here). Me thinks someone with Norwegian heritage works at NASA, oh yes. There's also Drammensfjorden. The real Drammensfjord here on Earth is actually the fjord nearby where my parents live. (You can see a picture of it here.) Cam was much amused, oh yes.

Finally, maybe a break in the Scream case

I went on a mad CSIfic a-writing spree the last few days and actually wrote four chapters in two days. My poor beta... And poor Warrick and Catherine, who I am quite mean to. Ah well. They get to have lots and lots of sex, so they'll forgive me, I'm sure.

Football season starts this weekend! In case you were unaware, I a great lover of football (the European kind, that is - what Americans call soccer) and watch the Norwegian league very closely. Expect some posts on it here and there, not that anyone other than [livejournal.com profile] norwegianne will care much ;) Mmm, balls...

Gary Dourdan's getting an official website - looking pretty good. Mmm, Gary...

Sometimes I do wonder if not my ultimate fantasy is to make a football team of all my various Lust Objects and thus combine two very nice hobbies. Lustballs, anyone?

ETA: UFOs piloted by *demons*?! (Link from [livejournal.com profile] maureenlycaon) Them logic, them hurts.

ETA2: That's quite the wedding gown, there Found on Ugly Wedding Dress

ETA3: All Finnish lies! LIES!

Yes, poor me.

Oh well, I'll have to marathon beta all the chapters!

That wedding dress makes my eyes hurt, and is grounds for an immediate divorce.

Of course aliens aren't the ones piloting the UFOs. Intelligent extra-terrestrial life wouldn't dare approach a planet that has a wedding dress like THAT within 70 million light years. :P

Oh gods, those dresses! They BURNS me, preciousss!

...Yes, I just spent at least an hour on that site, making myself gag and choke in a vain attempt at silence. I'm sure I woke Mark up at least once with my horrified laughter.

Viking-Bodø Glimt on Viking Stadion on Sunday :D Let's have fun and confuse the poor Americans.

Don't we always? ;)

Ack, I have grave fears for Bodø Glimt this season. If they suck as badly as last season I will have to despair. Viking's got a bad season to avenge too, so it should be interesting.

Tromsø's got an away match to start with too. Hmpf. And yay, Aalesund is back.

Yay for football! Although I'm no great fan of it, I still like to ogle the players from time to time. :P

Lustballs! A fantastic idea!

I love that song. 'Come to Lapland, we've got Santa.' *sniggers*

I married in a decent dress my cousin already wore for her marriage . the imagination of my Rubens-body, wrapped in a german flag, is rather... erh... disturbing.

Hee! "Only in Lapland"--the new campaign for Finland's tourism commission, perhaps? Complete with Norway-dissing, because really, what's there to do in Lapland except put down the Scandinavians?

That wedding dress would give a friend of mine violent nightmares. Must send her the picture.

There's an "Only in Kenya" version too, also with Norway picking. I guess we're the pick of choice.

But indeed, what is it to do in Lapland?

Hehehehehe. Do tell me her reaction...

Waheee, Futbol! I have to say, it's a shame it isn't quite as popular as it could be here (but then I can't really complain, as I live in what is close to being the bastion of multiculturalism, so it's not like I don't have access to it).

And yes! They lie! Because, honestly, Santa? Pft. Totally Canadian (The North Pole belongs to us! Mwahahahahaha *cough, splutter*)

(Also, I had to write because thanks to you now, I had to watch Love Actually again. Partly just to catch the headdesk moment.)

Eeep, I've been stalked from deu_sex_machina! But thank you, you reminded me to check it for updates and I found the walking gaydar. Much happiness.

One day, the Americas shall be conquered by football too. Bow to the balls.

Santa moved from the North Pole. Bad plumbing. He now lives in Norway and whine about the idiot PM we have, just like the rest of the country. Also, he has his presents made in China.

Hehehe. My movie, my movie for a headdesk. I love that movie for the mere fact that the chubby girl gets the PM. Oh, and Colin Firth.

*puts on crazee!stalker hat*

But, you're really really making it hard for me not to, you know? (Hitchhiker's Guide icon? Sorry, you are so stuck with this stalker.)

In my continent's defense, there's not much of the Americas that still needs to be conquered by football. The South and Central ones are already sold. Mexico too. Canada could do better, but still has lots of fans. I think there's only our good old USofAians that still need to see the light.

Also, can't blame Santa for having wanted to leave. They probably would have managed to fit his name somewhere in the sponsorship scandal. He's better off. I can't believe he jumped the bandwagon and decided to have the toys made in China. Come on, just 'cause everyone does it. Pft. (Seriously, I hate traveling and having to comb the town to find -one- souvenir that wasn't made in China)

What about the elves, huh? I'm sure their Union forbids something like this. We won't take it! *Acts like a good wittle Kebeker and pickets for a good convention collective for Santa's Elves.*

Well, I suppose with a troll already on board all I was lacking was a stalker and indeed, Douglas Adams can drive mad stalker love out of anyone. *dries a tear for the loss of future Adams fun*

USofAsians, heh. I'm so gonna start calling them that. Indeed, they need to start watching real football instead that that padded-up rugby they call "football". When I take over the world, I shall see to some sports education for the States. After I finish smacking Bush with a trout, anyway.

China could probably trademark "Made in". They sure are busy makers. Nothing like cheap exploited labour to become Makes-Things of the world, I suppose.

I guess Santa's little helpers went Union and got too expensive so Santa was forced to switch. He should sue Coca Cola for using his image unsolicited and with the money he could get the Union Elves back.

(An apropos - I once worked in a Norwegian travel information and souvenir selling place where we did indeed get a lot of our souvernirs made in China. One day as I was unpacking keychains, I spotted a keychain with a happy vikingship on - but instead of saying Norway, it said in fact "Australia". I was amused for weeks, especially since I was about to move to Australia. Ah China, you can bring teh funneh, too.)
