Cam Smacks Into Apathy & Tagdom

I think I've run myself head first into apathy. I don't care about anything much at the moment. I guess I will work myself over it, but at the moment I just feel devoid of energy and will to do it. I've lined up a gazillion projects, online and real life that I wanna hurl myself at and part of me is just rebelling, I think. Maybe that's the reason for apathy. I've gone on strike against myself. Or maybe I've hit my yearly "tired of being cheerful Cam phase" a bit early. Or maybe I want a lot of things I feel I'm not getting and thus am feeling discontent, who knows.

Ah well. I'll just have to hope for a settlement soon and find ways to cheer myself up meanwhile. (Think Gary would be willing to strip for my mental wellbeing? Nah, I didn't think so either.)

Speaking of that - a contribution to GAFF was made in my name and I'm now a contributing member. Thank you, benefactor. You know who you are. Guess it means I will soon be snooping around the Country Club and not miss all the wank that goes on there. Huzzah?

Ah, thank you. Chocolates are always good for cheering up. I'm sure it'll pass soon enough, it's just annoying while it lasts. Sigh.

Life is beautiful. Life is also a pain in the backside. Otherwise we wouldn't love the beautiful side as much, me thinks.

A Tarantino C/W ep...Sounds good, even though I'm a bit afraid of what he would pull out...I mean he doesn't exactly have a good track record when it comes to writing romantic stuff..

Plus, who the hell cares if they think it's not fit for prime time TV?Americans can be a a bit of prudes, IMO. And they already think we European are decadent and morally reprehensible anyway, so yay for Nekkid Warrick!

Sounds like you need a Nekkid Warrick perscription. *nods sagely* Do Canada get the same rules as the US though? Or would the European version be gold view there?

Canada's rules are different from the those in the US. I honestly don't know what the rules are. French-Canadian tv shows tend to be more permissive than English ones. However, a lot of things that wouldn't get past US censors get aired here.

For example, The Sopranos, which airs on HBO and uses tons of language and is quite violent, airs on ctv, one of the national channels here, without editing. It's a bit later in the evening, but still early enough to be seen by younger teenagers.

Other examples would include Degrassi, where of 4 teenage pregnancies, three have ended in abortion. I've heard tell of some considerable cutting of Degrassi episodes on the US network that airs it. In particular, those episodes that deal with abortion (mentioned above) and a romantic relationship between two guys. And the mini-series, The Boys of St. Vincent, that was produced for and aired on our public station was severely edited when it aired on the US' A & E network.

Ah. Yeah, the Sopranos air here in Norway on our main public TV channel without editing and we get naked people at TV without much bruhahaha. So I guess Canada is a bit more like Europe in this regard.
