This is because we Americans tend to be big drama queens - look at our Commander in Thief. I thought it was entirely a British thing to make a dark joke, get some tea, and go about the business of life. I could be wrong, though.

I did like the joke made by one of the train workers: "I didn't think the French would be this pissed."

"I didn't think the French would be this pissed."

That was my mother's first comment when she walked into the living room and saw the news this morning.

T-shirt hell will probably make a shirt out of it.

Yeah, that was my reaction too. "It's the French! They're angry they lost the Olympics!" :P

I said the same: "I bet it's the French. They're pissed they lost the Olympics"

And OMG, that thread took a long time to read. At least two hours. That chick is obviously a pathetic attention whore.

I think it just proves Britain is still Britain when they're blaming the French for any and all.

I found my new all time favourite icon on that thread.

http://www.livejournal.com/allpics.bml?user=devinharris

It's the one with the keyword "phony king" about halfway down on the left.

Found this statement on a friend's journal. Tongue in cheek, of course...

"What? *Another* bomb? *sigh* when will the f*ckers learn, you can't kill the Brits. They *like* this sort of thing."

I am just imagining brnydgirl (or whatever) spontaneously combusting if she read that.

She's rather famous for being a bit of a wanker. Always arguing something, usually with the same amount of pigheaded idiocy.

[livejournal.com profile] brn_eyd_grl is just a big attention whore. She's started quite a few wanks over at [livejournal.com profile] wtf_inc over the past week or so, so it didn't surprise me that she started wanking over at [livejournal.com profile] metaquotes.

There's a nicer summary over at F_W, but the gist of it is she threw a temper tantrum because people didn't agree with her opinion on something. It spilled over into an unrelated post later.

I seriously can't believe that I read all that... all three communities. Plus hers, plus a few side notes.

That took a while, ie: four hours.

She was a train wreck... just kept going and going with nothing stopping her and you just can't look away! Also loved the c/p thing that she kept on doing... how creative.

Drew thinks she's 14. By personality, I would tend to agree. *gets Jo Ann and LQ flashbacks*

And I knew that was a wedding photo, but yes... looks very much like a prom thing.

*walks away chuckling at the fireworks comment*

Maybe she got married at her prom?

Trainwreck is one word for it.... Hoo boy.

I'll just add my WTF?

Also, I'm terribly late, but better late then never so, here it is. This is my little something for the "my F'list will make pretty icons for me" thingy.

I know I had promised yo!bling but I found out that black people's complexion is impossibly hard to draw wit pencils. Will have to work on that. Sorry.

Ah, love it. Don't worry - I love GSR as much as CWR, so you can't disappoint me with Geeklove.

I'm so filled with envy of people who can draw. Wah. Anyway, love, love, love - thank you. *bows* Will have to print it out and put it up somewhere.

Glad you like it.

I really can't draw per se. I mean, I can copy just fine, so portraits usually are my thing but as far as original work goes, I suck. And I can use only pencils or oil colours.

I was thinking about doing an oil thing for you (possibly a Norwegian landscape with midnight sun or something) and send it to you via snail mail.
See, me and my mum still haven't decided what we should get you...If I were you I'd be abit worried ;P

*raises an eyrbow* Do I sense 'revenge' for my paid account giving here? :P

Well, I can't even copy very well, so there you go. I'm impressed by almost all artwork since I clearly suck at it (see stickmen proof).

If you watched any mafia film you'll know su Italians are big on vendetta e gratitudine...

But your stickmen were funny! That's a form of art too!

Vendetta e gratitudine? Will you also bring pizza? :P *ducks*

My stickmen aren't as much art as they are reminders that art may be subjective, but crap rarely is.

Life goes on, hell yeah. I'd go to London today to look round KCL, but I'm going to Cam instead.

Oh c'mon. They thought this would have an impact? 'Next event, please'.

And yeah. My dad and I were on the phone as I realised what had happened.

"Oh no. The French took it TOO BLOODY FAR this time!"
