The Daily Show apparently featured this and it's supposedly serious. I must admit my troll sense tingles like mad, but on the other hand, people are also tasteless fucking gits at times.

Yes. (...) And at New College in Florida, an anthropology professor apparently killed a student newspaper story about hufu because he was offended that our Fijian Hungry Cannibal looked Fijian. We suppose he would have been happier if Hungry Cannibal looked Norwegian.

I don't know about him, but I sure as hell wouldn't be.

I saw that on The Daily Show... ugh, did it ever look nasty. >_< And "like beef, but sweeter and softer?" Even if I weren't thinking that was "human-flavored," it'd still be nasty. :P

I think I'll stick to my diet that doesn't taste like anyone I might have known. :P

Nutrition-wise, it sounds like a good idea. I seem to recall reading a story where famous people opened up restaurants serving cloned slabs and cuts of themselves. Don't just have your face on lunchboxes - have your face IN lunchboxes!

It'd have to be able to be produced for a lower total energy cost than traditional meats to really take off, though. Animal rights activists would probably be in favor of it.

Imagine the advertising, though. "Soylent Green the Restaurant: Eat Me!"
