Most frighteningly, his LJ proclaims "I'm not just your President, I'm also your friend" and "U will love me one u know the real George".

Uh no. Not true. Not at all...speaking as an American who's been dirt poor, panhandling poor, no-income-at-all-of-any-kind poor, but still voted just fine. All you need is a mailing address where they can send your card. There's no income test or credit check or anything of the sort, and it doesn't cost anything.

Now, if you happen to be poor (and especially if you're not white) you are more likely to be in a district where the machines conveniently malfunction, or the polling places just happen to be hard to find or changed at the last minute, or the poll workers just happen to be "unable" to find you on the registration list. But this is NOT the law, and generally understood to be playing dirty.
