Wait, wait, wait - Norway?!

AHAHAHA. I spent a moment forgetting being sad due the fact that they were in Norway. Whee! I so have to write a DW fic about this now. But dude, "Dårlig ulv stranda"? Um, that's not the best translation I've seen there of Bad Wolf. "Slem ulv" would be better, dårlig is more in the meaning of something spoilt or horrid, as opposed to mean. Bad food would be dårlig mat, for instance. But ah well - they were in Norway! Yay, my country gets an appearance, even if it was some part of the UK doubling for it. I need an icon of that with "Norwegain goodbye" or some such, I do.
Right, that patriotic moment over - parts of this episode I enjoyed very much and parts of it left me wanting. Much emotion all around, and loved the fact that Rose now works for alt!Torchwood. Cybermen and Daleks so not getting along just entertained me to great lengths, and yay, Daleks appears to be winning before the Doctor called the match off. Or maybe they'll keep fighting it, in the Void. Fingers crossed.
Pete and Jackie were cute, and yay, kickass!Mickey. And Harriet Jones mention! Love it! I hope you kick ass in that Universe, Harriet Jones, President for alt!Earth.
So, the Doctor and Rose... Okay, I was sad. And loved the way Tennant played it. Billie did a good job as well, so I did feel for them and I am a hopeless romantic and all. But it's not a show-ender for me. I'll keep watching, and in a sense I did feel the character of Rose stagnated a bit due to the writing, so perhaps it was time to go. That won't stop me writing fanfics that reunite them, I'm sure. Shut up. I am a hopeless romantic.
Oh, and the moment of pregnancy reveal - did the Doctor think for a moment it was his, or that Rose had gone back to Mickey? Hum. One might wonder. But good on Jackie.
So, did like. But I felt a bit like it missed something. Not sure quite what. Maybe the characters arcs weren't quite fulfilling. Only seen it once so far, maybe it'll become clearer in the morning.
Psst! If finale made you sad, I'm still taking fic requests here
Also, yay on you Germany! Bronze, well done. I like your football team now, I do, and hope for delightful matches in the future.
