I cannot believe the wife didn't know. I can't believe it's possible that she didn't know. Her daughter was imprisoned in the basement for 24 years and she didn't know? Fuck that. That poor woman gave birth to seven children in that basement and her mother didn't know? A likely story.

This whole thing makes me sick. How could anyone do that to another person, let alone a father do it to his daughter? It's just despicable.

People keep asking how the wife didn't know - what blows my mind is that anyone believes that, considering three of the children were actually brought "upstairs" to live with the guy and the wife. Where the hell did she think the kids came from? The sky?

I read in the paper that the daughter had supposedly joined a religious cult, and did not want to be found. She didn;t want to raise her children in the cult so she sent them back to her parents. Or so that's what the wife says. I don't believe it for a second...
