For all the bad weather and cold, autumn is still the most beautiful season of the year in my country in my not so modest opinion. All seasons have their beauty, though. Autumn will soon have passed and the stillness of winter will be upon us. I look forward to the quiet.

I say a Melbourne autumn - the trees are vivid with colour, the sun is pale and the skies are clear, and a fresh, cool wind blows. Plus that's when the Melbourne Comedy Festival's on.

As for that patriot thing... don't know. Don't want to know.

I do wanna know, as the not knowing is bugging the heck out of me. Surely it must be a subtle making fun of patriotism. There aren't people like that in the US, are there?
