EUROSONG!

If you're one of those poor, deprived unable-to-watch people (Americans, I am looking at you too), you can watch it on the web here (BBC). Join us in the mocking, the cheesiness, the general horribleness of costumes and the European bonding ceremony known as Eurovision Song Contest from 9 p.m. CET. (Which is roughly ten minutes from now, as I post this.)

Bring alcohol.

(I don't even have an Eurosong icon. Ah well.)

As much as I love (to laugh at) my country, i'm afraid that, once again, I must wave my little Austrian flag. 'cos they're so cool with their foreignness, dammit.

Alas, they got knocked out in the semis.

There's just no justice in the world. I'm rooting for Norway now anyway :P

But it was a really funny video.

Need to go see who won.

Denmark, Israel or Moldavia (for sheer fun). And the band from Norway was cool.

Heh. Poor Germany got *flattened*.

Pffth! I don't feeel flattened at all. Nobody can win a contest with funny, good and very original songs by writing a bad Cranberry-copy. But I'm sorry for the singer; she's really good.

Never do.

Greece: "Cyprus, twelve points!"
Cyprus: "Greece, twelve points!"

Gee, how shocking.

My mom and my sis are watching the damn thing as we speak. They both adore Norway's song o.o
I refuse to watch it 'cause we didn't get into the damn final again. And in my honest opinion, we had a good song. Like I've said, it's conspiracy theory against us *G*
Not sure how you're doing but I've heard you've gotten few points :)

We ended 9th. Not bad. Means we're direcly qualified for next year's final.

I quite liked the Finnish entry. And not just because it was a Norwegian singing.

Woohoo Serbia and Croatia finished #7 and #11 respectively!!!! Is that good?

From: [identity profile] misscam.livejournal.com
Yeah, not bad. Both finished in the top half.

France finished in the depths of the classement. Why, oh why, am I not surprised?

*clicks on video*

Ugh. I hate this style of music. Totally deserved the score.

But I did like Norway. So I decided I'm temporarily Norwegian. A brunette Norwegian ;)

Ah, we're always happy to welcome new Norwegians, as long as they're not Bush.

Join us in mocking Sweden in spot #19. HaHA!

I love the Eurosong time of year. Because then I get to read all the funny posts from my Euro!ljfriends making fun of it and yet loyally rooting for their country in a very subtle way. >D

Hehehe. It's the same procedure every year and we love it for it.

A good friend of mine has finally wrote up his analysis of Eurovision/Eurosong, which is here: http://www.livejournal.com/users/philipispdr/122413.html?#cutid1

Even though I don't understand it, I'm still quite amused. Also, how does Israel get to be part of Europe?

Anyway, I thought I'd share. There are even pictures. And lots of snarky commentary.

Aaaah, that's brilliant. I laughed till I cried.

Israel gets to be a part of Europe since the neighbours don't want them, I guess. I guess we did. Or maybe they just promised to give us a transsexual entry in Eurosong and we let them in on that.
