Damn you, Italy. You may have played well and your win might not have been undeserved, but I STILL HAAAAAATE YOUR TEAM. If Portugal wins as well, the finale will be between two teams I'd like to kick in the arse, woe.

Right - got quite a few new people on my flist again, so thought I'd post a little introduction to myself for old and new. You might've picked up on these things previous, but here they are in black and white, anyhoo.

What I am:

Norwegian, meaning I hail from the European country of Norway. I am very fond of my country, even if it makes me groan on a daily basis. I do link to news stories about Norway and generally pay it heed, since the rest of the world tends not to. And yes, Norwegian is the language we speak here, so English is my second language. Apologies for hiccups.

Atheist, occasional agnostic. I don't believe in any of the religions, and yes, I have had a good look at them. I am happy to discuss matters of faith if you're curious why I don't believe, but attempts to "save" me or preach will not end anywhere pretty.

Social democrat, which is not a communist, thank you. Yes, I am to the left in Norwegian politics, which by itself is rather left-driven too. So, conservatives in the US might find some of my opinions very odd indeed. The sentiment is frequently returned.

Pro-choice, as most people tend to be in my part of the world and there's not that much debate over it. I reserve the right to make choices about my uterus, and in no way make the choices for anyone else's uterus.

Straight, as I fancy males. Males are hot. I can totally understand why other males would think so, too. And when I'm having a day when males annoy me, I rather do understand why women might prefer women too. In other words, when it involves consentual adults, I don't get particulary worked up over your sexual preferences.

Opinionated, as I got politician genes in me. As a rule of thumb, any rambling opinion from me tends to have the phrase "I could be wrong" somewhere in it, and seizing upon it is usually your best cue to argue with me.

Sports fan, shockingly enough. Sports I am fond of include football, athletics, biathlon, cross country skiing and other winter sports. My two football teams are Tromsø and Bodø-Glimt, and I will cheer them without shame. I also watch sports because I am shallow and enjoy ogling males, and as they're there, would be shame to waste the opportunity, no?

Bitchy now and then, and fond of snark and sarcasm. Sorry. I could say I can't help it, but that would be a total lie. I just feel like it and act accordingly sometimes.

Fandomwise, I am:

Whovian, a Doctor Who fan of new skool. I got hooked on the revived series, but have also started watching older stuff and generally get a kick out of it. I have no shame enjoying the view of the Doctor, and I am deeply in love with the Daleks. Unrequited love, no doubt, as they'd just exterminate me. Sniff. This is the fandom I'm currently the most involved in, and write the most fanfic for.

CSI fan, though not as much as I once was. These days, I mostly wander about fandom and mock silliness and feel a bit nostalgic. I do wank watch updates when fandom is being wanky, rant when I feel like it and will do the odd fanfic for it.

Lord of the Rings geek, books fan originally, fond of the movies too. I don't participate in fandom anymore, apart from reading fics now and then. It's also the fandom where I wrote The Official Fanfiction University of Middle-earth (known as OFUM) and got a certainl level of fandom fame.

GAFFer, that is to say I hang at GodAwful Fanfiction board and will snark badfic. I make no apologies for that, but if it's not your thing, it's not your thing.

Additionally, I enjoy the writings of Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett, Agatha Christie, J.K Rowling, George Martin and Neil Gaiman; watch Mythbusters, Nytt på nytt, Criminal Minds, various Law and Orders and I Mummidalen; feel nostalgic about Babylon 5, Red Dwarf, X-Files, Water Rats, Blackadder, The Office, Star Trek, Buffy and Gummi Bears. I like sci-fi and fantasy, play computer games and read Calvin and Hobbs and Nemi comics. I am a Discovery Europe and BBC fangirl.

As for everything else - learn as we go, eh?

And now that football is almost over and the great wilderness of no Doctor Who episodes is about to set in, fanfic might help with the severe pangs of longing. So, I'm doing fanfics-on-request again. Leave a signed comment (no anon this time) with three things you'd like to see in a Doctor Who fic and why you'd like to see them. Creative reasons are a plus - well, they'll amuse me, anyway. I promise to do at least three requests from here, anything else depending on time and inspiration. (Though I might write some stories later rather than sooner - little patience is nice.)

Go mad.

P.S Save your time and request if it involves character bashing of any kind - Jackie, Mickey, Rose, Reinette - I won't do those.

Chaaaaaarming. Real charming. I had some interesting experiences while I was in the US, but most there were fairly nice. It's just some that... Ugh. Funny how the batshit and obnoxious tend to be the loudest and most noticable, huh?

Never been called a Satanist, though. Been told I'd go to hell, of course and managed to scare Mormons away, which I guess is something.

I'd like to see:

1. Something a little plotty. An adventure, even if it's a short one.

2. Glimpses of past companions.

3. A touch of angst.

I've been told I'm going to hell a fair bit in my life (umarried parents, agnostic, pansexual, left wing Howard hater) but I tend to just laugh at it now because it's all just so silly.

I'd like - soccer (preferably the socceroos), snark and some more historical stuff.

Hmm, I should probably get onto writing my requested fics this week. I've been neglecting them for a long time. *blushes* Anyway, in honour of the World Cup (and because I think it's be funny), I have a request. If you decide to take it up, stray as much as you want. It's just a basic idea.

1)Rose has shown an interest in the football, so the Doctor decides to take her to see the World Cup.
2) He develops an immediate love of it, and ends up becoming a little over-enthusiastic and embarrassing in his support.
3) He runs out onto the field for some reason.
(clothed/unclothed, your choice *giggle*)

Make of it what you will, but I'm in a really silly mood right now. That probably explains it. *more giggles* I should really stay away from the sugar. It's making me a little hyper.

Fanfic requests, hmmm?

I would like to see

-- something about Sarah-Jane Smith (because I have watched her very first episode The Time Warrior recently, and she's great, especially when she tells off the Doctor for being too patronizing towards women)

-- something to do with Germany (because I'd like the Doctor in my country, too, and it might help me to cope with yesterday's national trauma :D)

-- a gratuitous Shakespearean allusion by the Doctor, preferably to dialogue with bawdy double entendre (because the Doctor likes Shakespeare, and I like the bawdy)

If this sparks your creativity somehow, would be nice!

and as they're there, would be shame to waste the opportunity, no?

Fic requests? Well, I'll bite...

1. K-9 getting romantically entangled with...something
2. Somebody on board the TARDIS illegally downloading music, which then somehow gets them in trouble
3. The Flying Spaghetti Monster showing up somewhere and having a pleasant conversation with The Doctor

Reasons? Well. There's not enough crackfic in the fandom. And there's never enough Flying Spaghetti Monster anywhere (touched by his noodly appendage!).

I'm a GAFFer too! Look for me with this icon. ^ My name there is morph.

I would like to see:

1. Something good to do with Canada. Either they go there or meet a Canadian, doesn't matter. Why? Because I'm homesick. I know you've not been there though, so I'm not betting you'll choose this. (Though if you do, can I also request you make it the city of Winnipeg, Manitoba?)

2. TARDIS POV/thoughts on an event in the series. Because it's what I write these days and I want to know how you would write for her. And you never know, you might think it's fun and a challange. I do. :)

3.Do something with the 9th Doctor. Maybe have Rose remember him but not in a really angsty way. Have her remembering the good old times with 10 and having a laugh. Maybe he could have a laugh of his old times with Sara Jane too and thay can share a bag of jelly babies. I figure there's a tonne of angsty fics out there, but not enough where they can have a laugh of the old times.

Hope this helps. If you ever feel like doing 100 short Doctor Who fics, let me know and I'll point you to my Doctor Who fanfic comunity.

Fanfic challenge? Bet you won't do this one, but here goes:

1) Ten without Rose, having only recently lost her in whatever way she does leave him in Doomsday. And with a severe grudge against Torchwood.

2) An encounter with Jack, in which (a) Ten is surprised and none too pleased to realise that Rose messed with time to bring him back to life (this bit comes from a recent JB interview-thingy), (b) is pissed off to discover that he works for Torchwood, and (c) Jack is also mad as hell for his own reasons. The encounter includes Ten explaining why Rose is no longer with him.

3) Jackie. Somewhere. Even if she's killed in Doomsday Because Jackie is wonderful. Even better if Jackie gets to meet Jack.

Why? Because it's a challenge. ;) I know you find Jack difficult to write, and writers should challenge themselves occasionally :)

Three things I'd like to see:

1. Angst. I'm all about the angst.
2. World Cup? One where Germany wins? Past, future, doesn't really matter *sniffle*
3. The Doctor (10) and Rose hopping for their lives. Again. I like that idea.

1)Egypt. Because I'd love to see the TARDIS as hieroglyph. Again. With a bit of an explanation on how that came about. And come on, squeezing the Tennant in one of those little skirt-like thingies Egyptians used to wear is going to be fun. That's probably the next best thing after a kilt. ;)

2)Aliens. Because aliens in Ancient Egypt has been done many times already (with little success, IMO.) I trust you to do something original even with this cliché.

3)The Doctor making a fool of himself. The how and why are not very important. The hubris-theme we had this season gave me silly!doctor cravings, somehow. (And a desire to spank him too. But that would be terribly Mary-Sue. And pathetic.)

Have you heard this one yet?

Out on her royal yacht, the queen was enjoying the sea air when she spied a man in the water off the port bow - clearly being menaced by a very large shark. Through her binoculars she could see it was Christian Ronaldo, struggling frantically to free himself from the jaws of a 20-foot shark! The queen ordered the captain to change course to try and save the poor man, but she knew the yacht's top speed would never get them there in time.
At that exact moment a speedboat containing three men wearing white tops sped into view. One of the men took aim at the shark and fired a harpoon into its ribs, immobilising it instantly. The other two reached out and pulled Ronaldo from the water and, using long clubs, beat the shark to death. They bundled the bleeding, semi-conscious Ronaldo into the speedboat along with the dead shark and prepared for a hasty retreat, when they heard frantic calling ........... It was the Queen calling them to the yacht. On reaching yacht, the Queen went into raptures about the rescue and said, "I'll give you a knighthood for your brave actions. I thought the England team would hate Ronaldo after the world cup. But I see that the England team are true heroes and should serve as a model for sportsmanship to other countries." She knighted them and sailed away. As she departed, Rooney asked the others, "Who was that?!" "That," Beckham answered, "was our Queen. She rules the Commonwealth and she knows everything about our country."

"Well," Rooney replied, "she knows Fuck all about shark fishing. How's the bait holding up ?"

1. The Doc without/after Rose; Rose without/after the Doc

Why? Because you do internal monologue, introspection and exploration of self just so darn well. I admit this is kind of dependent on what happens in the final episode (i.e. does she die or does she - as I suspect will happen - merely 'die' as implied by Jackie's schpeel about 'you won't be Rose anymore'), but I'll leave it up to you whether, if this grabs you, you choose to write your own take on it, or else go by the canon separation that is to come - either I would love to see. You could of course just have it as a story where for some reason they get separated or she has to be left behind somewhere temporarily, but I'd personally like to read your take on their reactions to complete (final?) separation.

3. TARDIS tinkering, because Doctor/TARDIS = OTP

4. A chess game. Perhaps it's me hankering for Four and his thing of playing chess with K-9 but that kind of quiet moments involving logical precision is something we don't often see with the manic Ten. If chess doesn't grab you, then expand it to including the element of a 'game' or some sort of 'several moves ahead entrapment' be it game or no either as a theme or literally.

Fanfic requests:

1) Something to do with spirituality/religion/existentialism, from the Doctor's POV. Because with all the death/life/time passage he sees, he must have some thoughts on spirituality.

2) I'd like to see a credible fic where the Doctor and Rose decide to get married; how would the proposal go? What would the wedding be like? The marriage? And of course, the much angst/thinking that would go into all of that. Because I think you could pull off a fic like that, where maybe no one else could. It would be interesting to delve into their minds in such a situation.

-The concept of life going on after Rose's departure, for both of them, assuming Rose lives (which I say she will, RTD isn't idiotic enough to imply death in his trailer and then actually do it). This is for obvious reasons, considering yesterday. Not too much angst, please. A Certain Spoiler Person can appear if you feel like writing Said Person without canon.

Football isn't really my thing (except when it comes to Brann), but please explain why you hate these teams? *am curious*

I am very fond of my country, even if it makes me groan on a daily basis.
True! It's a weird world out there... weird at home, too.

So, three things I'd like to see in a Doctor Who fic (although not necessarily in the same fic, which will become obvious). I don't know if you've heard any Big Finish audios, so I'll give you an alternative. Also, this'll give you more of things to choose from!

1) Nine or Ten (with or without companions) meeting the Master, either a new version who survived, or crossing timelines with a previous one.
Why: Because as far as I know no-one has done this, and my attempt will probably never be finished. (That's what usually happens)

2) A romantic moment between Six and Evelyn, or someone doing something unexpected.
Why: Because there's so little Six/Evelyn out there, and because they're not exactly a "conventional" couple - a not-much-romanced incarnation of the Doctor, and an middle-aged/old (and cool) historian. The other option, because twists and turns are always fun.

3) A romantic moment between Three or Four and Sarah-Jane.
Why: Because they're cute, and I'm a sucker for romance. *blushes*

So those are my requests/ideas. I'm glad you made this introduction-thingie, and slightly amused to see that it seems we have quite a few things in common (I won't bore you with the specifics). Shutting up now...

Alas, I haven't heard the BF audios at all, and I haven't watched any of Six's run. Four and Three I know a little of, but not too much. You can ask something else instead of one of those, if you'd like.

so being from norway, what do you think of thor... whose last name i won't butcher, and the tour de france? guys in tight clothes... not bad viewing, however the coverage here in the states is a little tedious. not a big fan of the race myself, i just like thor

if you'd like to write about any/all of these, please do! your fic is good and i enjoy it. i'll wait patiently.

the good dr at a historical event... which dr/what event is writer's choice (tho i'm rather fond of 12 cent. scotland and dr #'s 4 and 9), why? the pics of him in the first 05 epi at historical events aroused my curiosity.

i am but a poor american and i've no idea if 10 took rose to barcelona, but that would be fun to see... again that cursed curiosity

also, if you could kindly make the dr a pirate for a day (and not a pirate of the caribbean) that would be fun. the why... bc the pic in my head of nine as a pirate amuses me

ok, if you can possibly squeeze any of the mythbusters into a cameo, i'd be thrilled. i love that show.

Argh! I can think of too many things to request! Erm...

1. Ten attempts to teach Rose to fly the TARDIS, which ends them up in trouble and an adventure. (Why? Because it would be useful for Rose to have that skill, and if the TARDIS reconnected with her like they were in 'Bad Wolf', it would make for interesting times.)

2. The phrase 'You don't remember what happened last time, do you?' (Because it's a maleable phrase, possibly ductile.)

3. Cats, somewhere. (Because I've been trying to picture the Doctor and a cat playing mindgames, and I'm not sure who would win.)

There, I managed to get it down to three. *wanders off to look at GAFF*

Norway-
What part of Norway (North, South, Middle)?

Atheism-
Personally I consider myself to be Neo-Pagan (Believe in many different religions mainly Egyptian and Ancient Greek), but I have no problem with other religions unless they preach to me. That is annoying.

Pro-choice-
I agree 100 percent with you. i don't want other people making choices about what I do with my body.

Sports-
I like to watch sports, but I don't unfortunately play them unless it's friendly. I'm not good enough to be on a competitive team. Football as American Football or Soccer? I love Soccer/Football (I miss having the WUSA around), and I also like Gymnastics, Ice Skating, Snowboard Cross, and Diving when they are on.

Lord of the Rings-
I like reading Aragorn/Eowyn fic and watching the movies. Read the first book, but it drove me nuts.

Other-
J.K Rowling and Douglas Adams are always good. Can you explain Nytt på nytt (Looked it up on Wikipedia but I don't exactly understand what the people in it do)? I love Law and Order SVU and CI. Garfield is a great comic. I wish I had BBC on my TV. I had to wait months for North and South to come on DVD in Region 1 so I could see it.

Let's see Fanfic request...
1.Rose hanging out with 10 some time after 9 has regenerated, but then 9 shows up and Rose has to decide between them- Why?- They both like Rose and she likes both of them. What if she was forced to choose?
OR
2. 10 with someone and 9 with someone in the same fic like maybe 10/Reinette and 9/Rose.- Why?- I read a angsty fic recently where 10 was wishing he had Reinette back.

I live in south-eastern Norway, but I was born up north.

And in my LJ, football will forever be European football, not the American rugby-with-padding-and-bigger-fellas. So, yeah, the worldwide football. World Cup and all.

I don't play football anymore myself, but I did when I was wee.

Nytt på Nytt is a bit like The Daily Show in the US - mocking of news and such. Only in Norway it's just once a week.

As for the choice request, I did kinda already do that one with Never a Choice.
